All I want
Is to be acknowledged
In the ways
Sincerity dictates
Through thoughtfulness
Shown by discretion
To discern
My words as true –
These vestiges
Learned by mistake,
Hearing ghosts speak
Intimate wisdoms,
Leaving trails
Along crumpled up pages
Beneath desks
Where agony sits
And takes this form
Given flesh
By inadequate means
Always dreaming
For better release
They’ve inspired
Till escape seems real
When it fails.
Each triumph
Besides that wish
Leaves lingering fears
Never questioned,
Only doubts
Now fostered entirely,
Trading stares
Between faces grown old.
How success
Will never prove earned
While boredom builds
Over decades
Spending idle time
Watching reruns
Of another day
Lived so wrong,
Not maturing
Despite those wills
Or protests stood
Writing brashly
But playing fate
Chasing muses
No God worth love
Would employ.
Let’s admit
Such dangerous expressions
Are an excess gift
Best kept secret,
Hiding shyly
Behind closed bindings
Within studies
Souls never see –
Hidden tomes
Amid libraries lost,
Merely begging
Those eyes which wander
Like lines whose phrases
Sit there
Praying soon
Validation comes.

Wow. I can relate to this amazingly penned poem of yours. I am here, just waiting, for someone to notice, for someone to care, someone to tell me that I exist, the way I am. Merely begging. Wow.

Ragazza, thank you so much for this feedback and your exceptionally kind words! I am so happy these words were meaningful to you. Nothing makes me happier and more fulfilled as an artist than to hear this. You have lifted my soul and God bless you. I will most certainly check out your work!

Wow. I feel good knowing that I made someone feel good today. Isn’t that what writers like us dream about? To be able to lift someone’s soul and spirit with words?

Indeed it is. Money and success never meant much to me – I seek feeling, passion, God, and fulfillment through expression. And of course, being part of those things with those I care about.

Wow. With how the world has come to, your words are very straight and sincere. If people try to have a mindset like yours, I guess, they will be less unhappy.

Ragazza, I’m just trying to find my way like everyone else. And I make a lot of mistakes getting there. But I can definitely tell you the kind of stuff they sell us as meaningful doesn’t work. You’ll take a lot of negativity fighting back and walking away from their game, but hey, I’d rather be a loser with dignity. I’m blessed with what and who I have. God watches all of us, or the universe if you will, if God isn’t your thing lol.

HAHA. I am a child of God. And the universe is my playground.
You’re human, you make mistakes and you better yourself. Being perfect is sad and boring, it is a fantasy and you’ll lose yourself trying to be one.

Ah wow! I like that – yes, better to accept imperfection. In fact, it is what facilitates great art. I spent a lot of my life trying to make others like me indirectly. The minute I gave that up, I found miracles waiting everywhere.
